A New Stage for ASEAN Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural International Entrepreneurship Convention 2026 (IEC 2026), to be held on 7 and 8 October 2026 in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Themed ASEAN Youth Forward: Creating the Next Wave of Entrepreneurship Innovators, IEC 2026 will bring together student entrepreneurs, industry leaders, regional investors and ecosystem builders from Malaysia and across Southeast Asia for two days of keynotes, panel discussions, live venture pitches and high-value networking.
What to Expect
The convention will feature keynote addresses from internationally recognised speakers, including Mr. Yu-kai Chou, a leading authority on gamification and innovation, and Mr. Khailee Ng, Managing Partner at 500 Global. Participants can look forward to:
- Keynote sessions on youth entrepreneurship and regional innovation
- Panel discussions on scaling startups across ASEAN markets
- Live venture pitch workshops with industry mentors
- A curated exhibition floor with vendor booths and startup showcases
- 1-on-1 mentor sessions with all confirmed speakers
- A closing gala dinner with award and certificate presentations
Open to Students, Alumni and Industry
IEC 2026 is open to undergraduate students, alumni, industry professionals and vendors. With an expected attendance of over 300 participants from 7 or more ASEAN countries, this convention is positioned to become a key annual platform for entrepreneurship education in the region.
